PART 1 - Find three blogs in your current job and/or anticipated career field.

Name: Jane’s Pick of the Day

URL: http://janeknight.typepad.com/pick/2011/01/index.html

This blog provides snippets of information concerning learning and performance technologies. The author, Jane Hart, is a “practitioner” of social learning and is the founder of the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies. She also wrote the Social Learning Handbook. The information on her blog can be used for social interaction in the workplace or for personal time use.

I feel that anyone that is interested in social media could gain valuable information. The posts are short and to the point, you can quickly obtain an overview of valuable resources in a limited amount of time. This blog also is linked to her business blog that in turn leads to her company’s website. The linked data provides access to additional valuable information on social learning and performance technologies.

This blog is “for and about” Princeton University teachers that use technology in the classroom and for research purposes. It’s a good source that provides lists of tools that can be utilized for sharing and teaching information.

Name: Stepping into Project Management – The journey continues

URL: http://www.steppingintopm.com/

A blog that follows a “newbie” to a project manager, since I am interested in project management thought that this blog would give me some informal and formal information about the career. It offers a wide array of information: virtual project manager, virtual training events, etc. A reader can obtain an inside look into what it means to be a project manager.
