Part 2:
Technically, any method can be used in any scenario. I've heard about twitter used in F2F meetings to brain storm effectively, recording for those who have to miss the F2F class, IRC for in-class discussions, etc. Of course, methods in Hybrid and Online will be nearly identical as Hybrid uses the full capabilities of online by definition.
